All of us here at the Colonial House Inn join all of you, our friends, in hoping that the victims of this year's hurricanes & storms in the south and mid-states, have a full recovery. Also, our hearts are with our troops overseas knowing that their heroism and loyalty to freedom can never be forgotten. We also join all of you in our prayers for their families and friends who are so adversely affected by their commitment. We pray to God that the continuing attacks on our lives and lifestyles will only serve to strengthen our resolve to bring these criminals to justice.

Following the tradition that we started nine years ago, there will be only one newsletter for the entire Fall, Winter and Spring Season of 2008-2009. Many of our guests have commented that it gives them extra time to plan their mini vacations and time to invite friends and relatives to join them.

This year, particularly with the increased traffic due to our web presence and also being featured on national TV, guests should call immediately with regard to New Year's Eve, and other popular weekends.

Saturday, November 1st, 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm - Cape Cod Ghosts, Myths, and Legends. Costumed characters will guide participants to historical buildings and relate eyewitness accounts and/or local legends about ghosts of Cape Cod. They will share fascinating insights into Cape Cod history and folklore obtained from historical research. The 5:30 program is for families and the 7 pm program is appropriate for adults. (NOTE - this tour had more than 300 requests for the 90 spaces available last year.) Unique Program dealing with the recorded past as well as recorded sightings including the Inn, The Edward Gorey Museum and The Bangs Hallet House.(Home of the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth).
